Many Christians have felt outcast by the institutional church. The hurt and pain of becoming an outcast Christian leaves us spiritually searching. The Church in Silver Lake has set forth with a mission to reach those outcast Christians welcoming everyone to reclaim our faith through a message of LOVE.
When we gatherings we set the stage for open conversations about faith. Why is this so important? Sadly, the perpetual use of scripture to condemn and cast aside individuals has lead to a large number of Christians no longer able to identify with their faith. By talking honestly about scripture and truly embracing the teachings of Jesus and how they apply to this modern age, let us heal the hurt and reconnect with our faith. On this journey we are all searching for a connection to the divine and working together to spread a messages of love and acceptance. Life is complicated, why do we expect our faith to be simple?
